Learn the essentials of hand embroidery and beading techniques with award-winning textile designer Chloe Patience.
Taught in the recently refurbished surroundings of Dunfermline’s Abbot House, you will get to grips with the fundamental techniques of embellishment using threads, beads, and sequins from a designer whose work has been worn by Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry.
Working to a pre-designed floral template, you will begin by sewing sequins and beads in a neat and professional way. You will then learn how to add 3d bead elements to give your design an extra special finish.
You will be encouraged to select your own colours and beads with the aim of completing your design during the session, which you can then proudly display in its hoop frame on the wall at home.
All levels welcome: the perfect class for newcomers to embroidery and those who want to improve their skills.
Materials including beads, fabric and hoop included, as well as light refreshments.
Venue: Abbot House, 11 Maygate, Dunfermline KY12 7NE
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
