About Free guided cycle ride from Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline to Culross

The ride will start at the Peacock Cafe in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, at 10 am on Sat 23rd July. Coffee, toilets, and parking are all nearby. It is a beautiful setting with views of Dunfermline Abbey and Palace.

The route will take us from Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline to Culross and back. Culross is a very attractive National Trust for Scotland village on the shores of the Forth. We will have a stop for refreshments in Culross where there are also toilets available. We will be back in Pittencrieff Park at around 1.30 pm.

The route is approximately 18 miles. It will be on a mix of off-road paths and some on-road sections. You will be guided by our trained cycle ride

Suitability for adapted bikes. There are no significant barriers. However, there is a short section on rough track (gravel). Advise discussing with one of the ride leaders beforehand.

Further information

You will need to bring your own bike and make sure it is in a good working condition
The ride will be at a leisurely pace in order to accommodate all riders
The ride is led and supervised by qualified Sustrans cycle ride leaders at all times
There will be a comfort break at roughly the halfway point.
Please bring weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, and water
