One of our best-sellers, Isle of Harris Gin is definitely a must-try Scottish gin. Meet Sam, their Regional Manager at this free in-store tasting to find out more about this incredible distillery and sample their stunning gin and new, award-winning whisky, The Hearach.
Founded in 2015 and based in Tarbert on the beautiful Isle of Harris, this distillery is the first legal distillery ever built on the island. Their artisan gin is made with botanicals including local sugar kelp seaweed, as well as juniper, coriander, angelica root and cassia bark.
The result is a refreshing gin with a good balance between the bitter juniper and pine and the sweet fruit flavours of mango, grapefruit and orange. It's no wonder this stunning gin is so popular.
'Hearach’ is the Scots Gaelic name for a native of the Isle of Harris. This is the first legal single malt ever produced on the Isle of Harris. The whisky, created by the hands of Harris people and influenced by the island's elements, is a spirit of great character and complexity.
The Hearach is bottled at 46% abv, non-chill filtered, and free from artificial colouring. Their recipe uses spirit matured in ex-bourbon casks, oloroso and fino butts.
Sam will be offering samples from 1-5pm at this free in-store tasting. No booking required. Come along and find out what makes Harris Gin one of our best selling gins and why The Hearach is so special.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
