About An Introduction to the Rijksmuseum by Sophie Oosterwijk.

Sophie Oosterwijk will take us through the history of the Rijksmuseum including its recent 10 year renovations, and will talk about its famous collections of paintings, medieval art, jewellery and musical instruments. Famous artists within its collection include Frans Hals, Rembrandy, Vermeer and Van Gogh.


The Arts Society Fife is a friendly charitable organisation, connected to The Arts Society London.

We meet together for arts lectures every second Tuesday of the month from September until June. We also support local arts and heritage projects.

Membership fee for this year is £50 for single membership and £90 for joint. We welcome new members and non-member guests. Non-members are encourage to give a donation after which they will be invited to join.
