The JKL Duo are a Glasgow-based flute and classical guitar duo composed of Kerry Lynch (flute) and Jacopo Lazzaretti (guitar). The pair met almost 6 years ago when Jacopo came to Glasgow to complete an Erasmus year at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and they have been performing together ever since.
The duo are bringing their latest project The International Poet to Dunfermline, featuring new music composed especially for them based on the works of Robert Burns. They have imagined what Burns could have created were he alive today, when physical distance is no longer an obstacle to communication, collaboration and creation. The traditional tunes have been given an international twist but retain their recognisable charm.
Jacopo and Kerry said: "We’re delighted to be performing at Viewfield Baptist Church thanks to Scotland on Tour. It’s a great opportunity to play some venues we might not otherwise get to visit and we can’t wait to make some memories with the people of Dunfermline playing our 'The International Poet' Album.”
Location: Viewfield Baptist Church, Dunfermline, KY12 7HZ
