New works on the theme of Coast by three local artists:
- Ingrid Mays
- Rowena Millard
- Sharon McLeod
Venue: Dalgety Bay Art Club, Moray Way North, Dalgety Bay, KY11 9NH
Each of us is inspired by the coast - the beauty, wonder and variety of Fife’s coastal villages, harbours, beaches and places, the shimmering sands, sparkling water, the light in the early morning or the architecture of harbours, bridges and lighthouses and, of course, boats.
Ingrid Mayes
Ingrid has a particular love of boats, coastal villages, their harbours, and the architecture of the sea – lighthouses and bridges. Her images are based on Fife’s coast, be it depicted more closely or re-imagined through her own sense of colour and place.
Sharon McLeod
Sharon’s detailed depictions are a wonderful combination of the real and the imagined. The intimate detail draws the viewer in to images that are both grounded in place and other worldly.
Rowena Millard
Rowena is especially interested in the ways light, water and places change with the tide, time of day and mood of the weather. Her images typically combine impressionistic effects with more detailed depictions.
