The Vaselines formed in Scotland in 1986 and split up before their debut album was released.
Their music was introduced to a wider audience when Kurt Cobain of Nirvana declared them to be his “favourite songwriters in the world” and Nirvana recorded their own cover versions of The Vaselines classics ‘Molly’s Lips’, ‘Jesus Doesn’t Want Me For A Sunbeam’ and ‘Son Of A Gun’.
Reforming in 2008, they subsequently recorded two more albums & continue to tour with their stunning back catalogue.
