Lughnasadh Music & Arts Festival

About Lughnasadh Music & Arts Festival

Join us in Newport-on-Tay for an afternoon and evening of art and live acts that represent the depth and breadth of Scottish talent.

The line-up is headlined by Edinburgh’s rising star Hamish Hawk, whose new album, A Firmer Hand, is released this summer. Paragons of Glasgow’s DIY scene Free Love join Hamish, as well as Dundee’s own Theo Bleak and Jutebox. More musicians and artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

Music is selected by Newport-on-Tay’s own Big Rock Records and complemented with art interventions curated by Hanifah Sogbanmu.

Getting to Forgan Arts Centre:
On our ‘Visit‘ page you can see full details of how to get to Forgan Arts Centre using public transport. There is no parking at Forgan Arts Centre and we strongly encourage active travel and public transport. If you need to bring a car, there is a car park at Waterstone Crook, a two minute walk from the arts centre. There is no on-street parking.

Access:
For disabled visitors or people with limited mobility, there is a drop off/pick up point at the front door of the centre. There is level access throughout the centre and part of the gardens. Please let us know your access requirements when booking your ticket or get in touch via phone or email to hear how we can support you.

What to bring:
Like all our events, this is an outdoor, all-weather, activity. Come rain or shine, we’ll be going ahead with the festival. Bring layers, waterproofs if needed, picnic blankets and even foldable chairs. Picnics and food from home are welcome. Please do not bring your own alcohol.

Please note, children and babies under 3 years old can attend for free, but they will need a ticket.
