Discover the basics of sketching and drawing. It’s the basis of many art forms - and it’s fun to do! We’ll start by using charcoal, then graphite sticks and pencils for learning skills such as continuous line to link shapes, negative drawing, and blending for contrast. You will also use ‘drawing through’ to work out the construction of objects and gain an awareness of perspective and composition so you can approach your subjects with confidence.
Learn about: values (darks and lights) • using easels • effective observation • placement - and lots more!
