Tayport Distillery are coming to Crail Community Hall to introduce you to their range of spirits and drinks.
You might recognise them as one of our regular stall holders at the hall's fairs.
Their story is rooted in Family & Community.
In 2017, Kecia McDougall's passion for creating delicious spirits blossomed from a hobby into a family affair. With a thirst for knowledge, Kecia completed various courses and certifications to master the distillation process. The rest, as they say, is history (and a lot of delicious experimentation!).
Today, Kecia's son, Alasdair, brings his love for flavour and science to the table as their Production Manager, while her husband Duncan uses his extensive business experience to keep things running smoothly.
Here's a glimpse of what the 1.5-hour ' Meet the Maker' event includes:
Welcome Introductory Drink: Usually a Prosecco and Raspberry or Blackcurrant Liqueur Kir Royale!
Meet the Maker: Get to know the faces behind Tayport Distillery and our passion for spirits. A few stories about getting into the Spirits buiness
Our Story: Learn about our unique brand and our exciting farm collaboration. We work with Barnsmuir Farm in Crail, so a nice local link there
The Craft: Discover the artistry and science behind our spirits. We explain it all in a fun way
Five Samples: Enjoy a guided tasting of two gins, two liqueurs, and one vodka from our range
There will be bottles available for sale at the end of the event if you liked what you tasted.
This tasting is coupled with our last concerts of the Sunday Afternoon Concert series, featuring Bancroft & Lyle, a leading, Scottish-based duo that have been performing together for the past 2 decades. Their repertoire includes a mix of original contemporary jazz-based songs alongside reimagined jazz classics and covers of songs by the likes of Suzanne Vega and Joni Mitchell.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
