A superb fresh story of Kirkcaldy's celebrated whale from way back in 1869.
The speaker, a librarian by trade, also volunteers as a researcher with Fife Council Archives. This talk is the result of being given a box no more than the size of a shoebox to research and record. The contents were a golden find relating to the days when Kirkcaldy had a whaling fleet, important seafaring families and of course this celebrated whale. The talk is a result of Kerry's forensic research and detective work. Come along and hear its very first public airing.
All the usual supporting items will be there - tea, coffee, themed home baking and the raffle.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
