Uncovering the History and Symbolism of a Ship Figurehead - A Talk by Ellie Hyland
In this talk Ellie Hyland shares the findings of her research into The Fairy Queen, a journey which explores the broader history of figureheads, from the people who made them to their legacy in maritime communities.
Our speaker Ellie Hyland is an Art History student at the University of St Andrews. She started volunteering at the Scottish Fisheries Museum in 2013, and currently resides in Anstruther.
