The historic Rossie Estate dates from the 11th century and is centrally located within the beautiful Kingdom of Fife, links to Mary Queen of Scots.
See the National Collection of Backhouse daffodils, Victorian Walled Garden with potager containing cut flowers, herbs, vegetables and soft fruits. Herbaceous Borders, Scented Roses, Water Feature, Espalier Apples, Shade Border and Interesting Grass Labyrinth. A Woodland walk leads to a ruined Covenanter’s tomb. Recycled stone, estate timber and collected rainwater have been used in the garden’s evolving restoration and design story.
The Café serves Barista coffee, Backhouse blended teas, home baking, breakfasts, light lunches and teas. We use produce from the garden grown free from chemicals and locally sourced ingredients where possible.
