It provides space for exhibitions, events, classes and pop ups. It is run by artist Jane Francis.
The Glisk gallery space is a venue for exhibitions and events, featuring single artists, collaborations, curated collections and temporary pop ups. You’ll find exploratory, new and risk-taking work, as well as the culminations of extended projects. Operating under the principal that you don’t need to try and be all things to all people, if you do what you really love, those who also love it will find you. The ethos and aesthetic are serious and intense, while sensual and playful.
The studio space was designed to accommodate the needs of visually impaired artist Jane Francis, who also runs the exhibition space at Glisk.
Renovations began on the two adjacent shops on Burntisland High Street in 2019, transforming a crowded and uncared for space into somewhere light filled, calm and contemplative, inspired by principles from Scandinavian design and Japanese principles such as Wabi Sabi and Hodo-Hodo.
Kinloch Gallery provides a fantastic visitor experience. It is located next to Birnie Loch Nature Reserve, a great place to walk, picnic, and view wildlife.
