Helen tells us,
“I am a part-time artist based in Argyll on the west coast of Scotland. I got back into art 6 years ago while recovering from major brain surgery and have continued developing and experimenting with new styles and mediums. I am often described as “an eclectic artist”, hence the name of this exhibition. I have recently been working with mixed media and steampunk inspired work, as well as seascapes. Last year I won Artist of the Month with an international online gallery for my steampunk inspired violin. A lot of my art is inspired by where I live and for this exhibition I have featured work based on RNLI Oban Lifeboat Station. A 10% donation from all the wave and lifeboat paintings will be going to Oban Lifeboat.”
Visit Helen’s website www.h2odesigns.co.uk to find out more about her work or pop in the the Merchant’s Room to see her work up close.
